Our Values

Enabling Restoration

It’s at the core of everything we do.  Friends of Mahima Homes does not provide direct care, we provide additional resources to those on the front lines of providing healing and restoration to girls, boys and women in Kolkata, who have been abused or victims of sexual exploitation.

Compassion

We believe that dignity and the need for compassion is a basic human right.  Friends of Mahima Homes seeks to restore dignity through compassionate programs to those at greatest risk in one of the most difficult environments.

Collaboration

The problems of sex trafficking, violence and sexual abuse are global problems that require the collaboration of parties from across all walks of life, backgrounds, faiths and circumstances.  Friends of Mahima Homes stands ready to work across these divides to provide care to the most marginalized.
